icon A message from Principal Cisney

Welcome to Northwest Elementary School!

My name is Kate Cisney and I am proud to serve the students of Northwest Elementary School.  Our primary goal at Northwest Elementary School is to provide a strong academic foundation upon which students can build successful lives. We deliver instruction that challenges children to reach their greatest potential through a variety of approaches, assessment methods, and technology tools. Along with the mastery of basic skills, we focus on the ability to reason, problem solve, communicate effectively and think creatively. Through the Leader in Me framework, we have the opportunity to guide each student along his/her individual journey of personal growth and whole-child development. At Northwest, we create a positive learning environment by reinforcing the importance of respect, responsibility, and safety.  It is our sincere belief that home, school and community must work together in order to best provide a healthy school environment that nurtures students who are lifelong learners and productive citizens.
